Teen girls usually have a pretty good idea about how they want their bedrooms will look like the colors and style, even about the decorations, too! But as someone that know their personality very well, you may give some guidance and help them choose a bedroom color scheme that fits well and reflects who they really are.
The era of plushies and Barbies have long been gone. When your kids are growing teenagers, it’s time to redecorate their rooms and put up some new colors. Here are some tips to choose the right paint color for teenage girl bedroom:
1) Myriad of colors
You can create a beautiful eclectic look by mix-matching some colors like orange, purple, bright blue, fuchsia, navy, and even black. Paint the wall with neutral shades to let all other colors in. Teenagers do love colors. You can put many of them and even mix them with patterns to create an unconventional, eclectic look.
2) Heaven of Purple
Teen girls particularly love purples. You can create a modern or romantic look using the shades of purple, and add white or black as an accent color. To make the room looks glamorous, try to paint the bedroom with shades of purple and decorate it with black furnitures and art-deco light fixtures, such as black crystal chandelier. To make it dreamy and girly, fill her lavender bedroom with white furniture.
3) Legally Pink
Some teenagers still link pinks, but they started to accept various shades of pink. You can paint the wall with salmon pink or fuchsia, and add some furniture and decoration in green, white or bright yellow. Modern furniture and geometric patterns will keep her pink bedroom from looking too plain girly. You can also take vintage style furnishings, but paint them in solid bright color to give a strike of statement.
4) Elegant Neutral
A teen girl’s room doesn’t necessarily girly. Sometimes they want a more elegant and natural look to make the bedroom feel comfortable and calm. Paint the wall in neutral beige or broken white, and you can add some decorations and furniture in orange, green, navy or blue to add pops of colors. You can also try to paint the room rich cobalt and navy, and green and brown will be a great choice of furnishing colors.
