When you feel that recently your kitchen appearance get a little bit boring, maybe it’s time for some refinement and restoration. Okay, we all know that white kitchens are very popular. White is clean, simple and orderly. However, it will be really good of we dare to play with colors. Those amazing colors can change the whole feeling of the room, and even brightening up a single area. And one thing that is easy to remodel and repaint is kitchen cabinet.
Try to combine two colors on your cabinets__it would be a real mood-booster, and can represent your real personality. So, all you need to do is to break out of the white-and-wood zone and let color work the room. Here are some ideas:
1) White + Sky Blue
For a coastal look, there is no better fusion than bright white and sky or ocean blue. Try to paint your island with sky blue, and paint the top with white. You can consider lacquering the island top if you like. Combine the white and light blue with painting your kitchen cabinets with a deeper shade of blue. Combine with bare wood stools and wooden accessories to strengthen the coastal and island ambiance.
2) Barn Red + Sage Green
Go rustic, go country! What’s more inspiring than cooking in the middle of a happy farmhouse ambiance? Choose soft, muted tones to avoid too Christmasy look. Varnish the woods on the island, ceiling, and floor to warm up the atmosphere.
3) Cool Grey + Deep Orange
For a playful, modern industrial look, try to paint your kitchen cabinets with a deep orange. Try a lighter shade of the same gray to paint the back sides of the open shelves. It will add some depth and accentuate the bright tones of the cabinets and accessories.
4) Lemon + Lime
To get closer to nature but stay cheerful, you can paint your kitchen cabinet with bold green, and the island sunny yellow. Add some multicolor tiles as backsplash and dark or light colored wood countertops. You can also opt for dark granite for the countertop.
5) Pale Gray + Greenish Blue
If you’re a little bit color-shy, you can give your kitchen some zing without being overwhelmed by painting your cabinets in pale or cool gray and the island dusty greenish blue. For the countertop, the grey-veined white marble will look marvelous. The marble will also look fabulous for the backsplash.
6) Navy Blue + White
Paint your kitchen cabinets in navy blue, and the countertops white lacquered to create a stylish and fabulous kitchen. You can also use white marble or medium dark wood for the countertops. Paint the island white to create contrast.
